Hey guys, I’m back! Sorry I haven’t posted in a week or so but I’ve been busier than I ever expected to be. Between working everyday and Thanksgiving I haven’t had any time. That’s no excuse though, right? Doesn’t matter because I’m making a blog post right now. Better late than never.
I have another library book haul for you. I haven’t made one of these since I started my blog last month. It seemed to do pretty well so now that I have a bunch of books from the library I figured now is a better time than any. I believe I have 11 exciting books to share with you all. A couple of them I’ve had for a month now so I’m sure some of you have seen them on my Instagram if you follow me there.
This one is a little bit different from the last one. I do not write the synopsis of the book I just give you the Goodreads link. I just explain kind of why I want to read it and if it’s still a priority to me.
Ringer by Lauren Oliver
I have already read Replica by Lauren Oliver and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve had Ringer checked out from the library for a long time and just haven’t picked it up. I don’t even plan on picking it up soon so it will probably go back to the library before I do. That’s okay though I’ll have the chance to read it eventually.
Bird Box by Josh Malerman
I was recommended this by a co-worker and I planned on reading it in October but I just never got around to it. It also wasn’t one of my top prioritized books anyway. I haven’t heard much about it other than at work so I don’t know what to expect going into it.
Warcross by Marie Lu
If you haven’t heard of this book you have been living under a rock. It was all over Booktube and goodreads. There is so much praise and high rating that I decided to check it out. I’ve had it laying on my desk for a while now and haven’t picked it up. I’m still pretty interested in reading it so I may reach for it in the near future. Hopefully I don’t have to take it back anytime soon!
They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
Here is another book that was very popular for a while on the internet. I waited a very long time for this to come back to the library. There is such a long check out period at the library I go to so I have to wait patiently. I haven’t had a good run with Adam Silveras books unfortunately. I started History is all You left Me and I DNF’d it. The writing was very plain and it was boring. Hopefully this one is much more interesting.
Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave
I was browsing around on my library’s overdrive and found this as an audio book. I read the synopsis and thought it sounded interesting. I haven’t heard anything about this before but I’m excited to see what it has to offer!
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon
I have known about this book for a little while now. I don’t know much about it and I haven’t heard anything. I think sometimes I just want to go into a book blind. I always tend to pick up hyped books so this would be a nice change.
Class Mom by Laurie Gelman
I saw this on Booktube very recently and it just sounded like a lot of fun to read. It’s not a very big book so I think I should be able to fly through it. The YouTuber that read it and enjoyed it was rmfickfack
I really enjoy her channel and value her opinions about books. Go check out her channel!
Slasher Girls and Monster Boys (Stories selected by April Genevieve Tucholke) (Stories written by many authors including Leigh Bardugo, Jay Kristoff, Marie Lu etc…)
I haven’t really ever read a collection of short stories. I haven’t really ever heard good things about them so I have been hesitant to pick on up. I have heard a good amount of praise about this one so I decided to check it out. I wanted to read it in October but my library didn’t have it in stock at the time.
Far from the Tree by Robin Benway
I have no idea what this is about (surprise, surprise). I have seen it around Booktube but I didn’t pay attention to it. Again, the ratings on Goodreads are pretty good so I don’t think it would hurt anything to read it. I do love how beautiful the cover of this book is though (may also be another reason I picked it up. . . Shh!)
The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed
I’ve heard about this book on Booktube quite a bit. Since I wasn’t really interested in reading it then I didn’t pay attention to what they were saying about it. It has a pretty solid rating on goodreads so I figured, why not? If I don’t like it I can just turn it back into the library and never see it again. That’s why I love checking books out from the library first instead of wasting money on a book and then it just sits on your shelf.
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
I’ve heard great things about this book but I have no clue what it is actually about. It has a high rating on goodreads and I think it will be something a little different from what I have been reading lately.
Thank you for reading and sorry for being gone for awhile. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what you think/thought of these books! Remember, be respectful and happy reading.
